Here are some drawings we made in google-sketchup showing our domes.
The picture windows you see here are facing our mountain view. The extention to the left is the master bedroom with views north and south. The extention to the right is the covered porch which is at ground level. The daylight basement would not be seen from this view.
This is a view of our south facing windows. The ground slopes down and our daylight basement is seen from this direction.

This is a picture from google-earth with our future dome sitting on it's approximate location.
Dome plans
Going inside the dome from the main entry door you would enter onto the main floor.
Then you could go downstairs to the basement.
Or you could go upstairs to the loft.
One of our favorite features is the cupola.
We will have a 360 view from this litle room on top the dome.
